Fracture and flow in normal and anomalous glasses

Abstract

Spontaneous crack extension in fused silica glass when immersed in alkaline solutions but in the absence of an applied stress will be described. In addition, indentation tests on soda-lime-silica and fused silics employing pyramidal indenters with three different included angles will be discussed.
