The Argument and First Principles
Cotter, John
Authors
Abstract
This chapter describes the argument advanced in this book, as well the 'first principles' (working assumptions) that underpin that argument. Thereafter, a brief note of the structural overview of the argument in this book is provided. Finally, there is a consideration of the contribution of this book to scholarship on the CJEU and the preliminary reference procedure, as well as to knowledge of American legal realist thought, especially that of Karl Llewellyn.
