Abstract

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a highly prevalent and painful condition that is commonly managed in primary care by various healthcare professionals (HCPs), including physiotherapists (1). Community pharmacy staff have transferable skills that make them well placed to be more involved in delivering evidence-based care for people with OA (2). However, it is not known how they, or other HCPs who typically care for people with OA view community pharmacies having an extended role in OA management. We therefore aimed to explore this in a qualitative interview study.
