Ali Aries
Biography | An experienced neurological physiotherapist and academic, I work at Keele University as a Senior Lecturer and The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust as the Allied Health Professions (AHP) Research Lead. I am Chief Investicator for an NIHR RfPB study: Teaching carers to deliver physical therapy for the upper limb post stroke (TaPpS): a feasibility study (2025-2027). I also hold an NIHR Senior Clinical and Practitioner Research Award (2025-2029). As part of this I am Chair for a Round table for the International Stroke Recovery and Rehabilitation Alliance (ISRRA), leading collaborative work on somatosensation adter stroke across eight countries worldwide. Alongside I am lead supervisor for three PhD students. |
