Abstract
The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19) pandemic has led to unexpected challenges and adversity in the centenary year of the British Association of Dermatologists (BAD). However, through challenge comes opportunity. Two national organizations were born following the ashes and suffering of World Wars I and II – the BAD in 1920 and the National Health Service (NHS) in 1948. The unity, structure and purpose of these two organizations would prove integral to the success of the British Association of Dermatologists Biologics and Immunomodulators Register (BADBIR).
